Past Projects: Salt Flat style Tot Rod

Below are the details of a one-off project we completed in 2014…

Built in the style of the old Bonneville Salt Flat Racers.

This was a fresh build with a new body on a stretched mobility scooter chassis.

Front axle was widened to give good steering lock, rear wheels were spaced to clear bodywork.

Features included:

  • forward/reverse ‘gear’ lever
  • drive/freewheel lever
  • 34′ style dash
  • ‘push-bar’ on the back
  • Banjo steering wheel
  • Embryo ‘Moon tank’
  • wheel discs.
  • Single pedal stop/go control
  • Working horn & speed adjuster
  • Charger for the batteries

Would suit a smaller child, probably up to about 4 years

It’s a great little car & I only wish I’d charged money to take pictures of it at shows, wouldn’t need to sell it then!

This was  a one-off build & will not be duplicated, but it gives you an idea of the sort of things we do. If you can think it, we can make it! Well, sort of…

Please contact us if you’d like us to undertake a similar project.
